Why minimum attendance matters
Many school systems require a minimum attendance rate — commonly 75% — to pass a course, independent of test scores. Brazil's federal education law (LDB) sets this exact threshold for basic education, and many colleges follow a similar rule.
How the calculator works
Enter the total classes in the term, how many you've already missed, and the minimum attendance rate required by your institution. The calculator shows your current rate and how many absences you can still afford.
Formula
Attendance (%) = (Total classes − absences) ÷ Total classes × 100. The maximum allowed absences is Total classes × (1 − minimum attendance).
Important
This calculator doesn't replace your institution's official attendance tracking system — use it as a planning reference.
