Mexico Holiday Calculator

Enter a year and see the full list of Mexico's official holidays, including the holidays observed on a Monday.

How it works

Enter any year and this calculator instantly shows the 7 official Mexican holidays under Article 74 of the Federal Labor Law — including the three holidays moved by law to a Monday — entirely in your browser.

Fixed holidays and "floating Monday" holidays

New Year's Day (January 1st), Labor Day (May 1st), Independence Day (September 16th) and Christmas Day (December 25th) always fall on the same date. Constitution Day (February 5th), Benito Juárez's Birthday (March 21st) and Revolution Day (November 20th), on the other hand, are observed on the first Monday of February, the third Monday of March and the third Monday of November respectively, so their exact date shifts every year.

Frequently asked questions

Does this work for any year?

Yes — it works for any year between 1900 and 2200, correctly applying the Monday rule for the holidays that use it.

Does it include Day of the Dead or the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe?

No — those dates are culturally very important, but they are not included as mandatory paid rest days under the Federal Labor Law.

Does it include the executive power transmission day (December 1st)?

No — that holiday occurs only once every 6 years (at the start of each presidential term) and is not included in this calculator, which shows the 7 recurring annual holidays.
