How to calculate fuel consumption
Divide the distance traveled by the liters of fuel consumed: fuel economy (km/l) = distance ÷ liters. To get consumption in liters per 100 km: l/100km = (liters ÷ distance) × 100.
How to measure it in practice
Fill the tank, note the odometer reading, drive normally until you need to refuel, then record the km driven and the liters needed to fill the tank again — this is the most reliable way to measure your vehicle's real-world consumption.
Cost per km
